Qigong for Beginners
We introduced this Qigong for beginners course because stepping into the world of Qigong can be a bit daunting as there is a lot to take in before you start to gain the real benefits. This course covers all of the basics for successful Qigong no matter what exercises you go on to learn. With over 35 years of experience in teaching Des knows that without understanding and applying the basics a practitioner never makes any true progress.
If you want to understand what you are actually doing in Qigong you need an instructor with real experience, experience of Qi. Without that understanding, I do not mean the “understanding” that comes from reading books, I mean experiential understanding, they are not teaching Qigong. The course includes:
- Qigong fundamentals.
- A glossary of common Qigong terms.
- Abdominal breathing.
- Wuji Stance.
- Horse Riding Stance.
- Bow Stance.
- Empty stances.
- Opening and folding the Kua (Energy Gates).
- The Qigong exercise “Broadening the Chest”, from the Taiji Shibashi Qigong.
